The Trent Hill Center team is excited to help spread the news that the Extension of Foster Care bill was signed into action by Governor McMaster on May 11, 2022. This bill gives organizations in the state of South Carolina access to federal funding to support programs and services for youth ages 18-21 who opt to remain in foster care as they transition into adulthood.

This news is particularly relevant to the services we provide via our Independent Living Program (ILP). ILP provides shelter, services, and support to young adults transitioning out of foster care and into adulthood. Federal funding enables THC to provide a greater breadth and depth of resources to participants in this program.
