Emergency Beds

Providing safety, comfort, and compassionate care

Every child deserves a safe place to call home, especially during times of uncertainty. Trent Hill Center's Emergency Beds Program provides short-term, overnight residential care for youth in foster care who are experiencing a placement disruption or awaiting a more permanent living arrangement.
‍
When an unexpected change leaves a young person without a safe place to stay, our program offers a welcoming, supportive environment where their immediate needs can be met. Located at our 4th Street facility in Hartsville, the program provides four emergency beds, helping ensure that vulnerable youth have access to a safe place to sleep, shower, eat nutritious meals, and receive basic necessities, and care during a critical time of transition.

Youth who stay receive:

  • A welcoming environment where they can rest, feel secure, and have their basic needs met

  • A trauma-informed approach that recognizes the challenges youth may be experiencing

  • Compassionate supervision from trained staff

  • Nutritious meals, clothing, and hygiene essentials

“Every child deserves a safe place to land, especially when life feels uncertain. Our Emergency Beds provide more a place to sleep, they show them someone cares.”

Our Vision: Every child and every family will be valued, encouraged, and welcomed in their safe, stable communities.
