Trent Hill Center is glad to host a public open house for the soon-to-open Assessment & Placement Competency Center (APCC) on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at 1513 S. 4th Street in Hartsville.

The community is invited to tour the facility, meet program staff, and learn more about the center’s mission to serve youth in foster care across South Carolina through short-term assessment, stabilization, and placement support.

The APCC is designed to fill a critical statewide gap in services by providing:

• Comprehensive behavioral, medical, educational, and social assessments for children entering care
• Short-term residential services focused on safety and stabilization
• Mental health and case management support to ensure continuity of care
• Placement navigation and foster family support to help youth transition successfully into long-term homes
