Family Resource Connection and Preservation Services

Empowering Families & Supporting the Community

In May 2022, Trent Hill Center added a fourth program to our service array: Family Resource Connection and Preservation Services (FRCPS). FRCPS provides in-home prevention and support services to families who have exhibited conditions that affect stability and well-being–such as poverty, youth parental age, relational issues, or parental or child disabilities–all of which increase the risk of neglect and abuse within the family unit. These proactive and preventive services are implemented through a statewide contract from South Carolina Department of Social Services. Through this contract, THC's Family Resource Specialist provides hands-on resources and guidance through an array of services including:

  • Homemaker services

  • Career exploration & assessment

  • Non-medical transportation services

  • Tutoring

  • Parenting services
